The Hercules Class Teams utilize Lockheed Martin Hercules MC/HC/C-130/L-100-30 (variants of the C-130), a four-engine heavy lift, rear loading cargo aircraft capable of short takeoffs and landings from unpaved or paved runways. The Hercules Teams are always deployed as two aircraft formations for redundancy, and are primarily used for MOTO+PARA™ Terra Class, Aurora Class and Mars Class Team transport, as well as transport for other non-profit NGOs’ relief personnel and relief supplies into previously secured landing sites at or near disaster and humanitarian “ground zero” areas.
A Hercules Team is comprised of an eight-person crew: (1) Combat Veteran Pilot, (1) Combat Veteran Co-Pilot, (1) Combat Veteran CSO/Navigator, (1) Combat Veteran Flight Engineer, and any suitable combination of (4) SO Motormen™ (Army Ranger/Air Force Para-rescue (PJ)/Air Force Special Reconnaissance (SR)/Air Force Tactical Air Control Party (TACP).
